Cherry-picking among Madrid attractions

Madrid was the last stop of our trip that started in Bilbao, touching the Basque coast, Donostia-San Sebastian and Burgos.
Since online and in the bookshops, you can easily find plenty of guides regarding Madrid, I will list here only the two places that I loved the most.
Number 1: Parque de El Retiro. This is a real peaceful place in the middle of the city. You can find here a small lake where you can rent a little rowing boat and have a tour. Also, there is the wonderful Palacio de Cristal, inspired by London Crystal Palace.

Number 2: El Rastro. This Sunday flea market takes place in a very picturesque district, filled with antiques stores and tiny places to eat or drink something. Also, while walking through the market, you can enjoy the exhibitions of street artists like musicians, dancers, and so on.
I fell totally in love with the atmosphere, colors, and sounds of that place.
