How did we come to get a puppy?

At the beginning of June 2018, our family dog, that was 16 years old, passed away. It was a very sad moment for our family. Especially for my mother, that is a housewife and spent her entire days with him.

So it happened that a couple of months after that terrible day, my sister arrived with an oh-so-tiny Yorkshire puppy (he was like 1 kg – 2.5 pounds). The entire family crushed for him. So during the summer, my husband (who at that time was my boyfriend) and I, decided that we would love so much to have a puppy for us, too.

We took this decision while on holiday in Croatia in September, and as we came back to Italy we searched and found what we desired.

A little puppy that melted our hearts the first time we met, with those sweet eyes and big head and adorable nose. Here’s the very first photo that we took him:

Benjamin – Benji, for everyone – was 2 weeks old at that time.

In a couple of months, in October 2018, we were able to take him at home with us, and our life changed, welcoming this little Maltipoo that now it’s officially part of the family. How many adventures we lived with him! and how many we hope to live in the next years…

A little note: we decided to call him “Benjamin/Benji” because my sister named the Yorkshire “Oliver/Holly”. In this way, we could have a legendary cartoon couple: Holly & Benji, the italian name of the anime cartoon based on Capitan Tsubasa manga series.
